Joel Mabus. The LCC Radio Road Show combines
skits and Music for an entertaining evening out. LCC Radio
travels to coffee houses and venues throughout Mid Michigan with
our House Band "the Grand River Band" and an hilarious cast of
characters, a guest host and guest artist each month. From 7-9pm
you will enjoy an hour of live music followed by an hour of
skits and music. The all music hour is just for those in the
audience, but if you can't join us, the 2nd hour will air live
on 89.7FM and
lcc.edu/radio. Our next Radio Road show is June 15, 2012 at
The
Michigan Theater in Jackson with musical guests:

World Day at Hunter Park
June 9th is the 5th annual celebratation of World Refugee Day and The Hunter Park Music Fest: World Day at Hunter Park. Enjoy music, dance, art and food from around the globe. From noon to 6pm there will be non stop music and dance, performed by refugee groups, a global arts and crafts fair and global food court. Grupo Aye, a grand rapids salso group and 2011 Jammie winner hits the stage at 4pm. Round up the family for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Family Health Walk, dip in the Hunter park Pool and take a tour of the Hunter park Community Garden House and the Restoration Works Houses. World Day is sponsored by St. Vincent Catholic Charities, Allen Neighborhood Center, Refugee Development Center, W.O.R.L.D. coalition, Department of Human Services, The Red Cross, Luthern Social Services, Summer Place Townhomes, Capital Area District Library and the Lansing School District.
Old Town Jazz Fest
The Old Town Jazz Fest is Friday August 3rd and Saturday August 4th. Entering its 18th year at the corner of Turner and Grand River in Old Town, Jazz Fest features artists from around the country and this year Tim Cunningham is Back! For more information and to volunteer go to jazzlansing.com
